In this workshop we have been showing to the children the many Pop Art painting of comic strip cartoons realised by Roy Lichtenstein. After discussing the bold technique of Lichtenstein’s work and its provocative message, the children enjoyed very much realising comic-like self portraits. They imitated the artist’s use of dots, inspired by the newspaper printing, and produced amazing artworks.
